Join us for a hands-on introduction to the beautiful, almost magical process of black & white film development and silver halide darkroom printing, in collaboration with Fujifilm House of Photography, Andheri West.

How it works

1. Get your camera and go shoot!

Once you sign up, we’ll send you the brand-new Fujifilm QuickSnap disposable camera, loaded with black & white film. You’ll have about a week to head out, explore, and make the most of your 27 frames.

Take your time. Walk around, notice the little things, and photograph whatever catches your eye. These photographs are going to be more than just digital files — you’ll be bringing them to life in a real darkroom.

2. Friday evening: Develop your film!

On Friday, the 30th, in the evening, we’ll all meet at Fujifilm House of Photography, Andheri West, where we’ll hand-develop our exposed films together.

You’ll get to experience the process of turning your photographs into negatives, watching the images you captured emerge from the film for the very first time.

3. Under the red light: Make your own prints.

Once we have our negatives, we’ll head into the darkroom to make real silver halide photographic prints by hand, just like the old days. <3

You’ll learn how to expose photographic paper, work with the chemistry, and watch your photographs slowly appear in the developer tray.

No screens. No printers. No presets. Just light, chemistry, paper, and a little bit of magic.

And the best part? You’ll leave with photographs you shot, developed, and printed yourself.

This workshop is for anyone curious about film photography, whether you’ve shot a roll before or have never touched a film camera.

Spots are extremely limited, so sign up early to make sure you have enough time to shoot your 27 frames before we meet.
